Positions
Racial Justice
We believe that anti-blackness is the root of multiple issues in this country. America was founded on the dehumanization of dark-skinned people, from the Native Americans whose land was stolen to the Black families that were ripped apart to build wealth for white aristocrats. Tackling racism and anti-blackness is a thread through all the work we do.
Immigration
America, in its ideal state, is a harbor for refugees and all people seeking shelter or escaping violence. We believe no human is illegal, and we stand firmly against ICE and the corporations who profit from mass deportation.
Prisons
The police are the violent arm of the state, enforcing their norms and protecting their property. Police as an institution do not serve their communities, and prisons do not rehabilitate those we label as criminals. Our justice system does not work. We believe that the only way forward is abolishing police and prisons as we know them and establishing a practice of restorative justice.
LGBTQ+ Rights
We believe that gender is fluid, and that sexuality is a spectrum. We support full rights of the LGBTQ+ community, with a particular focus on supporting trans femmes and nonbinary people of color.
Healthcare
Poverty is the indirect cause of too many deaths in this country. Private insurance companies are not only unnecessary and ineffective, but they house many of the wealthiest people in this country. We believe that healthcare is a human right, and we support legislation that moves toward a medicare for all system.
Worker's Rights
In our current economic system, the few at the top benefit from the exploitation of their workers at the bottom. We believe that everyone who works in this country should have a living wage, and that a family hardship or illness should not mean losing your job. We support legislation that offers paid family leave for illness and childbirth, as well as a nationalized system of childcare to support poor families and single mothers who might not otherwise have access.
Reproductive Justice
The decision to start a family should be left up to that family. We believe that people should not only have access to reproductive health options, including birth control, regular screenings and abortion, but that it is a right.

Priorities
We believe that first and foremost, femmes and people of color should be centered in any organizing activity. Our organization should look like the community we serve. It is our goal to focus on undoing the racist foundations of our city, the capital of the confederacy, and the subsequent damage caused to communities of color through a variety of programs tackling different issues, and through working with organizations who have been doing this work.
